Well I am a nice combination of exhausted and exhilarated after another day of shopping and eating! Spent all day yesterday at the Market in San Antonio and the combination of the smells, sights and sounds made for a perfect day (the 80-something degree temperature didn’t hurt either!).
Here are some fun things I came across in my ventures:

These tiny little sombreros with a mini blanket attached were super cute. I think they’d make adorable invitations if you hot glued them to a small piece of paper and made invitations out of them! They would fit perfectly in a small white padded envelope!

Colorful hand-cut paper banners were everywhere. I can’t tell you how much I adore the look of these! They make any space look like a party!

For goodness sakes, somebody fill this badboy up with some beautiful and delicious finger foods like mini empanadas and tiny tacos! Add a few tomatoes, peppers and avocados and you’ve got eye-catching platter of food, ¿sí?

Mexican blankets were everywhere, but I found these smaller versions and kept coming back to them. I knew I loved them, but wasn’t sure what to do with them (by the way, I’m a BIG believer in buying what you LOVE, even if you don’t know why you love it/what you’ll do with it/where you’ll put it. If you really like it, you’ll figure it out!) Then it hit me…napkins! I tried them out and look…they’re so perfect!

After a full day of shopping, one must stop and refresh. Dinner included this little lovely:

A Prickly Pear Margarita! Dee. Lish. Wanna make one? Here’s the recipe:
4 oz. tequila
juice of 2 limes
2 oz. Triple Sec
1 cup ice
1 cut lime
salt
4 oz. Prickly Pear Cactus Syrup, divided
Mix first four ingredients in a blender until ice is crushed to a smooth consistency. Rub lime around the rim of a glasses and dip the glasses into a plate of salt, coating the entire rim. Pour 1 oz of Prickly Pear syrup into each glass. Pour frozen margarita mixture over the top of the syrup and enjoy! Serves 4.
