Cocktail Twists

Back before EVERYONE was rimming their martini glasses with colored sugar, I can say, without apology, that the cocktails served at my parties were renowned for being clever, and colorful with all sorts of fun rims and garnishes. Legendary as it may have been at the time, the downside was when I requested that my own drink be rimmed in sugar at a restaurant, I was usually met with annoyed glances from the bartender or even worse, the occasional SALT rim!! UGH!! For so long I really was in uncharted territory. However, I would personally much rather my cocktails be a little on the strong side with a sweet rim as opposed to weak and, well, lame. Suffice it to say I prefer my JUICE with breakfast. Even better than a sugared rim….a small confection accoutrement! I am always on the hunt for a delicious new candy to pair with a signature cocktail….jellybeans, gummy bears, licorice whips, chocolates…
Imagine my delight when I happened upon these clever Cocktail Twists courtesy of our Swedish friends at Party Stockholm. Basically, they are little twists of candy designed to hang on the rim of your glass with one end dipped into your drink, causing it to dissolve and add some flavor to your already delightful libation! Available in espresso, citrus, peppermint and apple flavors each box contains 3.5oz. of cocktail twists. Individual flavors - $9.95, Variety Pack (as shown above) - $29.95 at Unica Home.
P.S. Great hostess gift too!
