Just read how you spent your 38th birthday, LOVED IT…. As I read through I gradually cried more and more, thanks for the reminder that there is still good hearted people in our cold hearted world. I’m very inspired by this movement and your story. I’ll be 50 this year and have decided to do RAOK, too, with a twist. As fate would have it, 50 days before my birthday is September 11th. So, in honor of those who lost their lives on that day and for my birthday, I plan to begin on that day and perform (at least) one RAOK each day for 50 days. My hope is that after those 50 days, performing a RAOK will become second nature and not something that I have to stop and think about. I have just under 60 days to plan and am already getting pumped up about it! Thanks for the great ideas you’ve listed and thanks to those who have posted their ideas, as well.

I’m so inspired! I try to do things here and there when presented, but I want to purposely do more daily year round. My 48th B-day is coming up and my husband & will be celebrating our 28th anniv. (all in the same month). I think it would be cool to give 48 kind acts on B-day and maybe 28 for couples during the month. I have several months to purposely plan and am excited about it!!

Thanks for your website – I will be 60 in a couple of years – may have to do 60 RAK in 60 days, but I really want to do it! My life has been blessed with rain – so I will appreciate the sunshine, darkness so I appreciate the stars, storms so I see the silver lining, always loved, always blessed.

I did one thing a while ago I remembered. I found a wallet at a ATM machine. It was empty except for a paycheck stub from a local carwash. I put $20 into the wallet and returned the wallet to the manager of the carwash to return it. It made me smile all day!

Absolutely beautiful! I love that this has touched so many people beyond those you originally blessed… The one about the look on the person’s face behind you in the grocery store seemed really vivid to me in these times with so many out of work. And what a wonderful way to lead your children in His heart for others.

I love this! Before I had read this I had also done a RAOK. I was at walmart and the gentleman before me looked like he had worked a long hard day, his clothes were filthy and he looked tired. He was trying to buy a drink and a roasted chicken but when he swiped his card it wouldn’t go through, I knew he must not have the money in his account. So when he stepped away to call his bank and the cashier started ringing me up I told her to add the chicken to my purchase. After I paid I handed it to him and told him to have a blessed night. He was stunned, made my day . I will definitely have to do this on my birthday next year.
